Cuando una persona sufre ataques epilépticos se cae al suelo y empieza a estirar su cuerpo inconscientemente y empieza a salir espuma, su saliva, de la boca. Esta enfermedad se cura con las hojas de tsompilxo:chit (aparentemente Bocconia frutescens L. o Bocconia arborea S. Wats., a menudo considerados sinónimos) también llamada tsompitsoxiwit. El tsompilxo:chit se da a orillas de caminos y en los cafetales. Al cortar su tallo empieza a salir su savia que es de color amarillo limón. Para usarla como remedio se cortan las hojas tiernas de tsompilxo:chit y se hierven. Se hierven bien hasta que se reduzca un poco el agua. Se espera entibiar y luego se usa para bañar al paciente. Desde el principio se aparta un rollo de hojas y se machacan hasta que salgan como espumas. Después de bañarse el enfermo le frotan las espumas empezando por donde se unen sus huesos y enseguida todo el cuerpo. En la cabeza también le frotan hasta donde se encuentra el kwa:to:naltsi:n (mollera). Después del baño, el enfermo debe acostarse y abrigarse bien para que sude. Así se le quita la enfermedad. Deben bañar cuatro veces al paciente y deben de frotarle las espumas que salen de las hierbas machacadas para que se le quite la enfermedad. Las hojas tiernas de tsompilxo:chit o tsompitsoxiwit también se usan para curar la tos. Se machacan las hojas y se les echa un poco de aguardiente. En seguida se le frota al paciente en el pecho y en la espalda hasta en la nuca.
