Los niños pequeños juegan cortando flores y a veces cortan alguna flor que quizá sea tóxica. La flor (Lobelia cardinalis L.;) se conoce por yekawilxo:chit (aparentemente otros lo conocen por te:ekaeski:xtia). Cuando los niños juegan con esta flor, después de unas horas empiezan a sangrar de la nariz y se sienten mal. Para curar se cortan las flores de cho:kilxo:chit (aparentemente es la flor de pascua, que muchos la conocen como kwe:kwetaxxo:chit, Euphorbia pulcherrima Willd. ex Klotzsch), se machacan y se hierven. Se espera que se entibie y se le da de tomar un poquito de té al paciente. Otra parte del agua ocupan para bañar al niño y después del baño usan otra pequeña parte para frotarle con refino en la cabeza (kwa:yo:la:n) donde tiene el kwa:to:naltsi:n (mollera). También le frotan en la frente, en el cuello, en la cintura, en las rodillas y en los codos de los brazos. De esta forma se cura a los niños para que dejen de sangrar de la nariz. Finalmente Nicolás comenta que de un niño ikwa:to:naltsi:n y el ikwa:a:w son distintas. El kwa:to:naltsi:n se encuentra en el kwa:yo:la:n (centro) y el ikwa:a:w se encuentra cerca de la frente (i:x:kwa:ko). El kwa:to:naltsi:n da una señal cuando a un niño le sale sangre de la nariz: los pelos se paran verticalmente. Pero cuando el niño está sano, los pelos se quedan tendidos. Por esta razón se le frota el té de hierbas con refino en el kwa:yo:la:n (centro de la cabeza). El ikwa:a:w (su mollera) también se ve cuando el niño se golpea de la cabeza porque está hundida. Para remediar esta situación, algunas personas le jalan nuevamente la mollera, le frotan refino en la mollera y luego le jalan como si la chuparan con la boca.
