These are the files: dovad.sh - shell script which runs the other files to make things faster. fromVad.perl - perl script which compares (filtered) output from vad (the ISIP segmenter) with the output from fixtime.perl and outputs a file such as 01501_01650.list. This file should contain all the right words and as few mistakes (i.e. beeps, whispering) as possible. fixtime.perl - perl script which turns the original .log file into a more readable format and realigns the time stamps if necessary vad - the ISIP segmenter matchAm.perl - a file matcher createFiles.perl - converts the prefix.list file (i.e. 01501_01650.list) into small, appropriately named .wav files in the am/final directory. firstBeep.perl - firstBeep.perl prefix - returns the first beep in a particular log file. log/logFileAdjustments.text - a file which contains the adjustments necessary for each .log file. This is located in the log directory. sigd_params.text - the parameter file for vad prefix.list - i.e. 01501_01650.list - the output of dovad.sh prefix.all - like prefix.list, but with both ORIG and REDO words. 1. The .log files should be located in the am/log directory. The .wav files should be located in the am/wav directory. The final small .wav files will be placed in the am/final/prefix directory (i.e. am/final/01501_01650/ ) 2. Systematic adjustments to the .log file should be recorded in log/logFileAdjustments.text in the format "prefix number1 number2" where "number1" is the delay between the first beep and the first REDO in the .log file, and "number2" is the amount by which the .log time stamps must be realigned. "number2" should usually be 0. To calculate the first number, run the firstBeep.perl script, which finds the location in seconds of the first beep as reported in the log file. Next, find the actual location of the first beep in the .wav file. Subtract the reported beep time from the actual beep time to arrive at the time difference. 3. From the am directory, run "dovad.sh prefix" (from am/) where "prefix" is something like 01501_01650 . This should do everything, and output a file called "prefix".list, such as 01501_01650.list. 4. run "matchAm.perl prefix" to match the files. 5. run "createFiles.perl prefix" to create the final set of word files.
