There are two folders:
/texts-formatted-in-paragraphs
/texts-formatted-in-Transcriber

1. /texts-formatted-in-paragraphs
These are texts (transcriptions of an audio recording) that were originally in Transcriber. The time-codes have been removed and the text has been edited for publication, with proper sentence and paragraph breaks, and punctuation including quotations. Spanish words in the text are marked with the XML tags <spn />. These words should be displayed online in italics. They do not parse.

2. /texts-formatted-in-Transcriber
Note that these are the transcriptions by native speakers to which punctuation has been added. They have time codes and thus, potentially, each line can be linked to a segment of a sound file. The corresponding sound files are that /sounds-for-Transcriber-texts.
It is important to note the following:
a) Given that one cannot embed XML codes within transcriber I use * to indicate <spn> and ** to indicate </spn>. Cf. above. For display purposes, however, perhaps * should be converted to <i> and ** to </i>. If Mike has a pre-parsing script to ignore <spn /> then convert * to <spn> and ** to </spn> first. Then worry about the display in italics as in the /texts-formatted-in-paragraphs.
b) Please note that in some of the /texts-formatted-in-Transcriber there are embedded comments to myself. These should be removed from any parsed text. They are contained in the document as, for example, 
<Comment desc="Checar si es sa: ihki o sahki, etc."/> in Oapan_zoology_Paula-Pantaleon_aaiixmotsiin-09095_2008-10-14-a.trs. Before parsing Mike should remove, therefore, the following. Perhaps running a script  for regex <Comment desc=.*/>

Please note that upon my return to US on 20 January I will be able to polish the parsing/gloss that Mike will provide by simply running the texts through the transducer.
